Ownership makes the difference
Sentinel Federal is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that is owned and operated by its members. Every member is an owner with an equal vote in the election of the credit union’s volunteer board of directors. Once you become a member of Sentinel Federal, you can remain a member for life, even if you change jobs, relocate or retire. Plus, after you become a member, your immediate family members are automatically eligible to join.

Membership
You are eligible for membership at Sentinel Federal if you live, work, worship, or go to school in, or are a business or other legal entity located in the following South Dakota counties: Pennington, Lawrence, Meade, Custer, Lyman, Todd, Tripp, Gregory and Mellette.

Join Us
Stop into any branch and visit with one of our member services staff or Apply For Membership Online. We require an initial deposit of $5. This initial deposit represents your “share” of ownership. It is not a fee; it goes directly into your newly established Share/Savings Account.
